Aiden's Mind Map
A Mind Map of values, traits, and music artists that are important to me and my identity. Created using Adobe Photoshop with a 3D tool and a variety of gradients.

Who Are You Becoming?
Butterflies flying and surrounding a phone. My goal was to emphasize how technology and nature transforms the individual, using a grass field, water graphics, metal spheres, and unnaturally colored butterflies. Created using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dimension.

What's A Love Without Tragedy?
Pixelated and distorted orchid with foil petals and melting chocolate centers. Represents the honeymoon phase of a relationship; the sweetness, but utter horror of the before and after of the honeymoon phase. Demontrates identity b/c of the choice choosing your own fate. Theme of piece inspired by Mickalene Thomas, Grant Wood, Frida Kahlo, and Sunil Gupta.
Created using Photoshop.

Yellow Fever
My friend (left) who is a model, and me (right) the artist, hovering over Hmong symbols next to two different trees. Inspired by many and my own experiences as an Asian American and traditional Korean art. The meaning behind the piece and its title encapsulates Asian fetishization between two different perspectives, although these perspectives are very similar. Created using Adobe Photoshop.

The Music Heals
A piece featuring myself with colorful headphones. I wanted to show how music closely aligns with my identity and how only I can grasp the emotion of music it even though I look sad on the outside. I used a variety of colored pencils and pencils (6B pencil for darker values, 2B for medium to dark values, and 2H for lighter values). I also used Photoshop to print out a reference photo for this peice.

Ephmerality
Another piece featuring myself, looking into what seems like a mirror. My goal was to communicate about obsessing over my youth, while also showing that I must move on. Ephmerality means not lasting long, meaning my youth will not last forever, signifiying a change/growth of identity. Created using Photoshop.
